Boasting some of the “most realistic weather effects ever seen”, and combined with the usual Codemasters attention to detail, surely it won’t be long before some ‘Game vs Real Life’ videos show up? Well, the first one is already here, courtesy of Eurogamer:

Top 10 PS3 Games – 29th August 2010 (Amazon UK)

The top three of this week’s chart are exactly the same as last week, with FIFA 11 holding on to the top spot for the third week in a row. With some massive AAA games like Red Dead Redemption and God of War III being released this year, it’s easy to forget the impact that the FIFA series has on the charts, with FIFA games regularly hitting the top spot for several weeks at a time.

Formula 1 2010 continues to move up the chart one position at a time, this week getting up to number five, its highest position yet. Uncharted 2′s recent re-release as a Platinum Game helps keep the sales high enough to keep the game at number ten this week; if you’ve not played Uncharted 2, it’s well worth playing - especially for just £14.91.

Here’s something you don’t see every day – people flinging burning tennis balls at zombies to promote a new computer game; in this case, Dead Rising 2 which is due out on 24th September 2010.

This time round however, everyone gets a slice of the action on PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

We’re not quite sure what this ‘Satan’s Balls’ video means, but check it out and see what you think:

PSN Exclusive ‘Days of Thunder’ Coming Soon

Paramount Digital Entertainment and Piranha Games have today announced Days of Thunder: NASCAR Edition, a brand new PSN exclusive stock car arcade racer based on the classic Days of Thunder film starring Tom Cruise. Days of Thunder:NASCAR Edition will give gamers the opportunity to go head-to-head against select NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers, including champions such as Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Tony Stewart, as well as the drivers from the Days of Thunder movie.

Tom Lesinski, president of Paramount Digital Entertainment, gives his take on the forthcoming game:

“Racing against NASCAR drivers such as Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin and ‘Days of Thunder’ characters Cole Trickle, Rowdy Burns, and Russ Wheeler simultaneously is something that could only happen in a video game, and a great way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film. We are pleased to team up with SCEA and NASCAR to bring fans an adrenaline packed, one-of-a-kind arcade racing experience.”

We’re starting to see more and more exclusive PSN titles, and Days of Thunder is another for Sony to add to their list. The PSN Store initially seemed to struggle to get innovative and interesting exclusives but Sony seem to have really picked up the ball recently when it comes to getting developers to bring their games to PSN. Let’s hope they continue that trend.

There’s no precise release date for Days of Thunder yet but it’s scheduled for Summer 2010. We’ll bring you more information when we have it but until then we’ve got a few screenshots to feast your eyes on:
