Earthworm Jim will probably be lost on many younger gamers, but anyone who’s played a 16-bit game on a 16-bit console will probably know of this quirky title. For those of you that don’t know what Earthworm Jim is all about, it’s a run and gun platformer. You are an earthworm called Jim, trying to take on the forces of evil with nothing but a robotic suit and a pistol.

This HD remake of the original title will feature all of the levels included in the original game (released on Sega MegaDrive) which means lots of shooting cows, and using your head as a whip. On top of that, you can play with your friends via local or online 2-4 player co-op, on a choice of 15 multiplayer maps.

If that’s not enough for you, there are three brand-new levels exclusive to this title for you to play around in, including a load of new enemies, and all in a brand new environment. Naturally of course, there’s a remastered soundtrack and a set of trophies to compliment the release. Earthworm Jim HD will be available on the Store when it updates tomorrow for £7.99/€9.99.
